Incoming 6th Grade Registration Information

Welcome to Meeker Future Wolverines! We are so glad to have you join the Meeker Family in the Fall. Below is important information that you will need to know before coming to Meeker.

Incoming 6th Grade Registration Building Tour

6th Grade Course Selection:

All Meeker students attend 6 periods each day. All 6th Graders will take what we call "Core Classes". These classes are:

  • Language Arts

  • Math

  • Science

  • Social Studies or AVID

  • Physical Education (PE)

Incoming 6th Graders will then have the choice to take one of the following electives:

  • Band (Year - Long Commitment)

  • Orchestra (Year - Long Commitment)

  • 6th Grade Elective Wheel (Choir & Technology)

Each class period is roughly 50 minutes long, with a passing period of 3 minutes.

Immunizations & Health History Update Form:

Washington State Law recently changed policy about immunizations 6th graders need to have. In previous years, 6th graders could not start school without their Tdap immunization. Now, families can either choose to get it before starting 6th grade, or waiting and getting it before they start 7th grade.

Before entering 6th Grade, we will need an updated Health History Form. Please find it below:

Student Health History Update Form

Return this form to our school nurse or Meeker Records before the beginning of the school year.
