Tacoma Rainiers' mascot Rhubarb made a special visit to Meeker Middle School recently, where he surprised sixth-grader Kennedy C., this year’s Tacoma Rainiers jersey design winner. Kennedy will receive her own personalized jersey and throw out the first pitch at the game. Her design will be worn by the Rainiers players during Tacoma Public Schools Night at the Rainiers on May 27, 2026 at Cheney Stadium. 

Jerseys will also be auctioned during the game to support access to Beyond the Bell and Club B Programs. 

Come join in on the fun! 

TPS students can participate in a pre-game parade on the field and then watch the Rainiers take on the Las Vegas Aviators with friends and family. Students will also sing the national anthem, perform color guard, and perform during the game.
