When are kids too sick for school?

Respiratory illnesses are on the rise right now, and a stomach virus is making its way through some households, too. If you’re wondering when your child is too sick for school, take a look at this guidance from the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department:

Did you know Tacoma Public Schools works in partnership with the health department to monitor illness trends? If your child is sick and stays home from school, please contact your school to report the absence and the reason why. This information helps keep our community healthy.
