Support and resources available for students in AP courses

The core belief that with the right support all students can be successful is at the heart of Tacoma Public Schools’ approach to accelerated programs and courses. Qualified students are auto enrolled into advanced programs or courses, helping many students realize their own potential and prepare them for life after high school.  There are many benefits for students taking advanced programs, including the potential to earn college credit while in high school.

For students and parents there are resources and support available to ensure students gain and maintain success in their advanced courses.

Accessing AP resources

College Board, offers many resources and tools to students enrolled in Advanced Placement courses through their AP Central.  AP teachers provide students with a code to “join their class,” this will give them access to on-demand videos, personal progress checks and to see real AP exam questions.
