Funding available for summer meals for eligible families
Through SUN Bucks, some children are eligible for funding for meals during the summer, when school meals aren’t available. The SUN Bucks benefit is a one-time payment of $120 per eligible child in each household.

If you are automatically qualified for this year and already have a SUN Bucks card, the money will be deposited starting the first week of June. If you’re newly eligible for automatic enrollment, a card will be mailed in mid-June. (Eligibility is based primarily on household income or participation in other public assistance programs like SNAP and TANF.)

Parents/guardians of students who do not qualify automatically can apply by submitting a SUN Bucks application.

Questions? Please call the SUN Bucks Contact Center at 833-543-3230 (TTY: 800-833-6348) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
