Rhubarb made a special visit to Jefferson Elementary, where he surprised fourth grader Maisy Lewin, this year’s Tacoma Rainiers jersey design winner. The 2024 design template was a little different because the May 22^nd TPS night at the Rainiers game is a Copa de la Diversión night which celebrates Hispanic Heritage.

Maisy’s colorful design will be worn by the Rainiers players during Tacoma Public Schools Night at the Rainiers on May 22^nd. Jerseys will be auctioned during the game to raise funds to support Tacoma Public Schools. Maisy will receive her own personalized jersey and throw out the first pitch at the game.

TPS students can participate in a pre-game parade on the field and then watch the Rainiers take on the Las Vegas Aviators with friends and family.
